Commons Signs of Pet Allergies in Florida

Common signs in dogs:

  • Red, flaky skin
  • Excessive itching
  • Hair loss
  • General off odor (beyond normal dog smell)
  • Chronic infections in one or both ears
  • Excessive licking/grooming of the paws
  • Brown discoloration of the hair (usually more noticeable on light colored dogs)
  • GI issues (diarrhea)

Common signs in cats:

  • Excessive grooming – especially of the base of the tail or the abdomen

As you may have guessed, these symptoms can make your pet very uncomfortable.
